The First Experience of Mountain Climbing

Vacationing is an activity that I like. Two years ago, there was a vacation that I will never forget. I went up the mountain which is very high with my friends. We set off in the morning using a jeep. Why we chose to use the jeep? Because of the way we were going was very difficult so if we decided to use motorcycle or a common kind of car, we would not be able to reach to the mountain slope on time.
After spending for 15 minutes in that jeep, we reached the mountain slope. My friends and I got out of the car soon and prepared a variety of equipments that we had to take it. Most of us carried groceries, blankets, and two of us carrying a tent. I was so excited about starting this journey because that was the first time I hiked up the mountain. There’s a friend named Riandi, he was a person who was experienced in mountain climbing. Riandi had often climbed mountain in many provinces in Indonesia. In that day, we depended on them.
We started climbing at 08:00 am. Together with my friends, I passed the forests and coffee plantations during mountain climbing. An hour later, Riandi instructed us to stop. We then take a break at a hut. The atmosphere at the climbing place is very cool, we also encountered a strange animal, a lizard that was brightly colored and very large. However, Riandi told us to act as usual, as if nothing happened.
Two of my friends seemed to have fatigue, they were Danio and Chandra. They looked like the city kids who have never exercised. Because of that, we rested more and ate the food together so that Danio and Chandra got enough power to continue the trip.
After we rested, then the trip continued. My friends and I were so worried when the rain pouring down. The climb had to be stopped while and we decided to set up a tent as soon as possible. The rain was long enough while all of us were in one tent. I felt very uncomfortable because my shirt was wet because of the rain. Finally, Chandra lent me a shirt so that my body felt comfortable again.
After an hour of being in the tent, the rain stopped and we continued the climb. Riandi told us that we had to be careful. The road was so slippery and we should be very careful in walking. Riandi told me to be a supervisor in the back, while he was a supervisor in the front. That was the hardest part because we only found a very narrow path, slippery, and next to us was a ravine. When we fell, then we may not be able to survive.
The thing we feared was really happened. Danio did not walk carefully and he fell. Danio plunged into the ravine. Riandi, Chandra, and I kept yelling to call Danio. Danio finally answered our calls and he did not fall too deep because he held on to the root of the tree. Slowly, Danio kept switching between the roots of a tree to another tree roots and managed to climb back on track. We were very happy because Danio survived. Then, Riandi immediately asked us to climb because it was almost night.
At 6:00 pm, we arrived at the first peak and we decided to set up a tent at that venue before started to hiked the highest peak on tomorrow morning. In the evenings, we lighted the fire, ate, and chatted. It was an amazing holiday experience. I will never forget all the experiences.

Oyster

Oyster is a saltwater shellfish belonging to the family of bivalve mollusks. Although indigenous to many parts of the world, oysters are now farmed to avoid depletion and to minimize their contamination from polluted water. East Coast and West Coast varieties are available in the United States. In oyster cultivation, small seed oysters are first attached to a stationary support. As they grow in size they are transferred to beds, where their growth can be supervised. Traditionally it was recommended that oysters and clams be harvested only in months containing an “r” (September through April) to avoid contamination by blooms of “red tide” microorganisms. These organisms produce a toxin that accumulates in oysters and mussels and can cause food poisoning. State health departments monitor shellfish and may restrict harvest in other months. A marine bacterium, Vibrio vulnificus, can infect warm, brackish waters and infest shellfish such as oysters. The bacterium can cause blood poisoning in individuals with a weakened immune system.
Fresh oysters are traditionally eaten raw with lemon juice or sauce. However, the consumption of raw or partially and cooked shellfish substantially increases the risk of food poisoning and of diseases transmitted by sewage, such as hepatitis A and Norwalk virus. Cooked oysters are far safer. They can be poached, browned, cooked on skewers, or used in soups and sauces. Oysters canned in oil contain more calories than fresh oysters. Oysters are an excellent source of ZINC, though different varieties contain differing amounts. One oyster, cooked (100 g), provides 90 calories; protein, 5 g; carbohydrate, 5 g; fat, 5 g; cholesterol, 35 mg; calcium, 49 mg; iron, 3 mg; zinc, 9 mg; thiamin, 0.15 mg; riboflavin, 0.29 mg; niacin, 2.1 mg.

DIFFERENT KINDS OF CULTURE IN INDONESIA

Tourism Kamasan village Klungkung regency , Bali ( Balinese Culture )
Kamasan is a traditional painting artist community . So intimate and so long development of traditional painting the artists described the results of painting there own style ( style ) that separate the traditional Kamasan painting . Real artistic talent to grow also in other works of art in the form of gold and silver carving and sculpture is the last bullet . Although in terms of the materials used metal color fabric to follow the changes but still looks in his trademark theme of painting or carving that describes the puppet characters .

Bedouin tribes in the interior of Banten ( Banten Culture )
Baduy Baduy people or people is a group of indigenous people in the region Sundanese Lebak regency , Banten . The term " Bedouin " is the name given by residents outside the community groups , the term originated from the Dutch researchers who seem to equate them with Badawi Arab groups who are a nomadic people ( nomads ) . Another possibility is due to the River and Mountain Bedouin Bedouin in the northern part of the region . They themselves prefer to call themselves as urang Kanekes or " Baduy people " according to their region name , or a term that refers to the name of their village as Urang Cibeo

Ngaben ceremony Bali ( Balinese Culture )

Cremation is a purification ceremony atma ( soul ) as the first phase of Balinese Hindu sacred obligation to their ancestors by burning the corpse procession . As I wrote in the article know about Pitra , the human body consists of rough body , subtle body and the karma . Human rough body which is formed of five elements called Panca Maha Bhuta ie motherland ( solid) , apah (liquid ) , Teja ( hot substance ) wind ( wind ) and akasa ( vacuum ) . These five elements are fused to form human physical and mobilized by the atma ( soul ) . When people die who die are just rough body , not his atma . Well cremation is the process of sanctification atma / soul as it leaves the body rough .

The Global Warming and the Solutions

Global warming has become a hot issue in the all country. The impact of global warming is very dangerous for the environment. However, there are still many people who think that global warming is just a mere issue and have no influence to our earth in the future. Though, there have been many signs of nature that arise as a result of global warming.

The increasing of sea level has occurred in many areas of the world. This increase is caused by the melting of polar ice caps due to the excessive heat of the earth. In addition, we can easily see a lot of storms, hurricanes, and tornado in various areas of the world. The global warming also makes a lot of farms experiencing crop failures that decrease the food supplies.

Harddisk ^_^

Hard disk is medium data storage on a computer that consists of a collection of magnetic hard disks and spinning, as well as other electronic components. Hard disks use a flat disc called the platter, which on both sides are coated with a material that is designed to be able to store information magnetically. Platter-platter by punching holes in the center are arranged and rearranged on a spindle. Platter spinning at very high speed which is controlled by the spindle motor that is connected to the spindle. Special literacy electromagnetic tool named head mounted on a slider and is used to store information in a disk or read. Slider mounted on the arm, all of which are connected mechanically to a single collection on the surface of the disc and is connected via a device called the actuator. There was also the logic board to regulate the activity of other components and communicates with the PC.

ATA / EIDE. EIDE hard disk (Enhanced Integrated Drive Electronics) or ATA (Advanced Technology Attachment) is the latest version of a stAndard disk interface suitable for connection to the bus. Many manufacturers have a range of disk with a disk interface EIDE / ATA disk can be connected directly to the PCI bus and roomates which is used in many PC (personal computer).

SCSI. Many disks have interfaces designed for connection to a standard SCSI bus. The disks tend to be more expensive, but have better performance which is possible due to excess SCSI bus than the PCI bus. Access to the same can be done for many disk drives as the drive interface is actively connected to the SCSI bus only when the drive is ready to transfer data. This is especially useful in applications where there are a large number of requests for small files, which often happens in a computer used as a file server.

RAID. Promises great performance and provides a large and reliable storage. Disk is used both in high-performance computer and in systems that require dramatically higher reliability than normal levels. However, with the decline in prices to a more affordable level, the disk becomes more attractive even for a computer system with size – average.

SATA. SATA hard disk of the type (Serial Advanced Technology Attachment), the disk interface ATA (Advanced Technology Attachment) by using the serial version of the thin cable that has small wires. Total about two-thirds of total hard drive cable with type EIDE or ATA disks are numbered 39 pins and SATA has very high speed data transmission and reducing latency. So, this serial bus is able to exceed the speed of parallel bus.

Assignment 3

1. MEMO IS :
·         a hard-copy (sent on paper) document
·         used for communicating inside an organisation
·         usually short
·         contains To, From, Date, subject headings and Message sections

·         does not need to be signed, but sometimes has the sender's name at the bottom to be more friendly, or the sender's full name to be more formal. If in doubt, follow your company style.

Memo writing is something of an art form. A letter is not a memo, nor is a memo a letter. A memo is a short, to the point communication conveying your thoughts, reactions or opinion on something. A memo can call people to action or broadcast a bit of timely news. With memo writing, shorter is better.
As with all writing, memo writing needs a structure. Because they are short, rambling meanderings will soon destroy the memo’s effectiveness and become a waste of productive time to those that read it and to the person who wrote it.
If you have something longer than a page, it’s better to send it as an attachment or a document that follows the memo used as a cover letter. Never make a memo too long. If someone takes a glance at a memo that appears to be too long, there’s a good chance it will be set aside for a time when they aren’t busy. This can defeat your memo’s purpose which is timely communication.

2. MAIL :
The mail or post is a system for physically transporting documents and other small packages, as well as a name for the postcards, letters, and parcels themselves. A postal service can be private or public, though many governments place restrictions on private systems. Since the mid-19th century national postal systems have generally been established as government monopolies with a fee on the article prepaid. Proof of payment is often in the form of adhesive postage stamps, but postage meters are also used for bulk mailing. Modern private postal systems are typically distinguished from national postal agencies by the names "courier" or "delivery service".

Postal authorities often have functions other than transporting letters. In some countries, a Postal Telegraph and Telephone (PTT) service oversees the postal system as well as having authority over telephone and telegraph systems. Some countries' postal systems allow for savings accounts and handle applications for passports.
